On March 14th, the recently renovated spaces of Mathes Outdoor, a historic industrial warehouse north of Aachen transformed into an inspirational hub for open-air living in 2022, welcomed guests for the final stage of Paola Lenti’s global tribute to the longstanding creative collaboration with designer Francesco Rota.
In a captivating presentation, the Milanese designer shared intimate insights into his enduring collaboration with our brand, focusing on what it was like shaping timeless design products using Paola Lenti’s high-performance and innovative materials. The evening culminated in an exclusive dinner, gathering architects and interior designers who have long regarded Mathes as a beacon for their projects.
Mathes Outdoor stands out as a unique venue, preserving its original industrial architecture with large exposed spans, steel columns, and natural concrete floors that accentuate the beauty and chromatic personality of the showcased products. Thomas and Sabine Mathes, steadfast partners of our brand, curated the selection.
For this special occasion, two iconic products took center stage: the Wave chaise longue, featuring the classic Rope weave, and the new version of Linea. Originally designed for indoor use over 25 years ago, Linea now transitions seamlessly to outdoor spaces with the new upholstery in Whim, one of the latest Paola Lenti exclusive fabrics for exterior use – textural, soft to the touch, irresistibly inviting, and as vibrant as ever.
