Chicago, December 2016. The series Portofino, designed by Vincent van Duysen for Paola Lenti and consisting of tables, seating and complements for exterior environments, has been awarded of the Good Design Award 2016.
Founded in 1950 in Chicago by architects Saarinen, Eames and Kaufmann, the Good Design Award is today the oldest and most prestigious Design Awards program for industrial design. Each year, winners are selected by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The official awards ceremony will take place in New York on 27 January, next.
