Elianto, the innovative round platform designed by Espen Øino for Paola Lenti’s outdoor collection, has been awarded the German Design Award in the category Excellent Product Design-Furniture.
A hybrid between a sofa and a chaise longue, Elianto was originally conceived for the yachting sector but is equally at home in outdoor spaces, from poolside settings to gardens, in both residential and contract projects.
Espen Øino envisioned Elianto as a contemporary seat for enjoying both intimate and social moments in the open air. Paola Lenti enhanced this concept with its exclusive fabrics, creating a design that is unmistakably elegant, functional, and welcoming. The result is a refined island of comfort, embodying a contemporary vision of luxury that is both understated and precious.
This collaboration between Øino and Paola Lenti seamlessly merges the designer’s expertise in the marine sector with the exceptional performance of Paola Lenti’s high-tech materials. These materials, developed through years of dedicated research, are engineered to retain their structural integrity and aesthetic appeal, even in demanding environments such as those found at sea.
The German Design Award, established by the German Design Council in 1953, is a prestigious honor recognizing excellence in design and innovation. The Council supports emerging talent and fosters global exchange of expertise in design and technology, further enhancing the significance of this accolade.
