After the Green Good Design Award and the NYCxDesign Award, Metamorfosi received a new prestigious international award: the jury of the AZ Awards awarded the collection both as one of the best products selected in the Furniture Systems and Collections category and two Honorable Mentions, one for its design and one for its social impact.
This final mention is particularly significant because it attests to the project’s inventiveness, its visionary scope, the general excellence of its design, and the constructive influence Metamorfosi can have on society as a whole. The mention recognizes the importance of the philosophy that has guided the creative and design thinking of the Campana brothers and Paola Lenti, based on sensitivity and respect, particularly regarding the management of natural resources and the use of energy and raw materials involved in production.

And the commitment in this direction does not stop: Paola Lenti has just introduced, during the Milano Design Week 2023, new versions of the Metamorfosi seating pieces; this time she recovered felt, the material that first made her renowned worldwide, and decorated it with fabric appliquéd designs and machine embroideries that varies according to the spontaneous movement by the operator.
The AZ Awards, now in their thirteenth edition, are the international architecture and design competition of AZURE, Canada’s top contemporary design publication and one of the few influential publications beyond the local borders. The accolades honor the excellence and innovation of the world’s top projects, products, and concepts.
